Do you remember just a few weeks ago thinking…it’s a New Year! 2022 holds so much potential!! The possibilities are endless!! And they are!

As small business owners we look forward to seeing the previous year come to close and turning our attention to the next big thing. What can we do different this time? What can we do better in this new year?

Please, don’t make the same mistake I did. All the EXTRA new year energy had me overwhelmed and emotionally my introduction to 2022 was rough. looking back at everything I had ALREADY done was exactly what I needed. If you haven’t already make sure to reflect on all the accomplishments of 2021.

For our family, 2021 was a year of change and growth more than anything. New careers, starting Kindergarten, home renovations galore, constant stressors if I’m being honest, we were stretched thin. But it’s important that you don’t only look forward. EVEN if 2021 wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, I bet you made some huge shifts and grew over the year just like me. (I’ll tell you about my desk in my next post 😉)

Bottom lines are great, but isn’t it all about the small changes, shifts in our mindset and in our daily life that we create and get to live!

Mine, may not be the business that turn six figures in two years BUT! Mine IS the business that brought me something all my own, a creative outlet, a way to connect with, and serve others… all while still being the wife and mother I’ve always dreamed of…in fact becoming more than what I had dreamed of.

2021 was my very first full year in business as a brand photographer. I served TWELVE (12) brands in my FIRST YEAR!! We created photoshoots directly tied to their goals in reaching their audience, and brand stories they wanted to share online. What started as a small idea has grown and along with it my mindset has shifted, my confidence has grown, and I’m on my way to being the wife, mother, business owner, and community member that I am now called to become.
